Arreola vs. Adamek: International Heavyweight Title Boxing Match

The heated battle between Cristobal Arreola and Tomasz Adamek happened Saturday evening at exactly 11:15 pm Eastern time at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario California.

The first rounds evidently belonged to the younger Arreola although he was thrown over with Adamek’s speed and overall technical skills. Arreola was able to connect with few punches. Adamek’s high energy and intensity continued in the entire fight but Areola was able to take over the action for some of the rounds.  Adamek had been able to somehow brought himself continue standing for the fight.

The last rounds allowed the two boxers to exchange powerful punches giving each other cuts and bleeds on their faces. The fight ended with Arreola dealing with a hand or an arm injury on his right side and a cut on his right eye leaving his face really busted. Both men were really had a head to head fight leaving the crowd unable to take sides.

Although Arreola did more damage in his shots, Adamek was able to gain higher points impressing the judges. For the upshot the decision was 117-111, 115-113, 114-114 resulting for Adamek to won the match over a 12 round majority decision and defending his IBF International Heavyweight title belt.
