Creative Arts Emmy Awards at NOKIA Theatre

The Creative Arts Emmy Awards was held last Saturday, August 21, 2010 at the NOKIA Theatre in Los Angeles. The said Emmy Awards is held annually before the main Primetime Emmy Awards which will be aired in NBC on August 29.

Among the winners are Betty White, 88, who was not there to receive her award as Best Guest Actress in a Comedy stint on Saturday Night Live. Presenters John Lithgow and Clyde Phillips accepted her award on her behalf. Neil Patrick Harris, 37, received two awards. He won Best Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his guest role in Glee and Best Special Classroom Program where he hosted the 63rd annual Tony Awards.

John Lithgow in his season-long appearance in Dexter won the Best Guest Actor in a Drama Series. Hollywood star Anne Hathaway won Best Voiceover Performance in her guest role as Princess Penelope in the Simpsons. The series ’24′ won Best Music Score and Best Sound Editing in a Series. CSI won Best Visual Effects in a Series and Best Cinematography for One-Hour Show. Glee won Best Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series.

The Pacific won 7 awards. These are Best Casting of A Movie/Mini, Best Prosthetic Makeup for Series, Movie or Mini, Best Makeup for Movie or Mini (Non-Prosthetic), Best Art Direction for Movie/Mini, Best Visual Effects in a Movie/Mini/Special, Best Sound Mixing for a Mini/Movie, and Best Sound Mixing for a Miniseries, Movie or Special.
