Erika Badu’s Window Seat music video is gaining “too much” attention in public.  Some critiques thought it’s “racy” and scandalous while others felt it’s the best performance of her career.

Erica Abi Wright more popularly known as Erykah Badu or Erika Badu is an American R&B, hip hop and jazz singer. She is known for her unique taste in fashion as well as unorthodox music recording. She is also known by her tag name “First Lady of Neo-soul” or “Queen of Neo Soul” because of her significant contributions in neo soul music genre.

Her recent music video, Window Seat, has gained controversy due to the fact that Erika stripped butt naked on the said video clip. The song is part of her recent music album New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh) which was released yesterday, March 30, 2010.

The video was taken in a sidewalk at Dallas, Texas where Eryka is strolling just like other normal people. After a while, she starts removing her clothes one by one, her jacket, shoes, shirt until she’s completely naked. Only wearing her birthday suit, she acted like she’s shot in the head and fell near where late President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. Some people didn’t like what they saw on the video and thought it was scandalous and embarrassing.

However, we all know what “scandal” brings to the table nowadays. Remember, Carrie Prejean, Adam Lambert and other celebrities who undergo similar walk of shame?  If you know how to capitalize on it, you’ll soon join other A-list celebrities walking the red carpet. We are also betting that as controversial as the video looks like, Eryka Badu would still win a prestigious music award very soon.
