But Maria wanted to work on her acting. Eventually, she got a contract with NBC/Universal which not only got her to act but to do several roles as well. She initially went on television with NBC/Universal doing episodes with Scrubs, One Tree Hill and Without a Trace. Thereafter, she started to have some other media exposures which include a role in the famous movie ‘Fantastic Four’ and doing shows with Access Hollywood and The Today Show.

The versatility of Maria Menounos also gave her a spot in the ’50 Most Beautiful People’ of People Magazine and an appearance in the famous FHM magazine. She shares the spotlight along with Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba and Charlize Theron as the top five girls in a poll conducted by the famed website,, Girls A Guy Would Want to Marry.

With all these accomplishments, Maria still found time to put up “Take Action Hollywood,” a foundation that supports several causes, on top of which is diabetes research.
