Paul Gray Found Dead at 38

The thirty-eight year old Slipknot bassist, Paul Gray, was found dead at a hotel in Iowa called Towne Place Suites last Sunday May 24, 20010. The cause of the death is still unknown however there are speculations that the cause would likely be an overdose of drugs since there was no foul play suspected. But fans are discounting the fact considering that the circumstance would worsen the circumstance of his death more so because he is leaving a pregnant wife and an unborn child.

Slipknot was formed in 1995 bursting onto the nu-metal scene with their self-titled album in 1999, Iowa in 2001 and Vol. 3: the Subliminal Verses in 2004. Known initially for their appearance and masks, the nine-member band subsequently had many fans because of their heavy metal sound and impressive performances at stage shows. The first three Slipknot albums have gone platinum and their fourth, 2008’s All Hope is Gone, made them number one for the first time and again will go platinum this year. Being a nine-member band, members would surely miss Gray’s presence.

Gray, in 2003, has been arrested for carrying Marijuana in his car but it was known that generally pot doesn’t kill people. So people are wondering what the heck really happened to Paul Gray?
