The night was graced by several wresting fighters all aiming for a title to bring home. Last Saturday, 29th of May at exactly 7 pm at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, the UDFC114 was held. The night’s main event was the match between Rampage Jackson and Rashad Evans. The said fight was really awaited since the pair was already known to have grudges against each other even before with heated words being thrown to each other since UFC 96. However still, one was proclaimed as the best among the rest.

Rashad Evans had proven that he is still a better fighter than Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. The fight garnered scores of 30-27, 29-28, 30-27, all in favor of Evans.

The match was started by Jackson with an octagon control and was also able to end the round 1 with exploding punches after Evans misses a takedown. On the 2nd round, while Jackson was judging the distance Evans was dancing a lot keeping a low base. The last round ended with Jackson standing up after being taken down by Evans.

Jackson is a native of Memphis Tenn and has won eight of his last nine fights but he wasn’t able to compete after being lost from Keith Jardine, a known close friend of Evans. Seems to be a revenge from the side of Evans having defeated the one who beaten his friend.

On the other hand, Evans last competed in January and was able to get a unanimous decision against American Top Team’s Thiago Silva. He also won the Season 2 of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality series and was a national wresting champion at Niagara Community College.

The two were supposed to have their face off in December 2009 but was delayed because of Jackson accepted a role in the upcoming film of “A-Team”. Mow looks like Jackson will be having much more time in enhancing his acting skills. There were 11 fights all in all in the UFC 114 and some of them really marked an exciting and thrilling fight.
