The mogul blogging site WordPress.com seems to be suffering some latency issues rendering the whole site down, affecting millions of blogs that’s hosting with it. (Techcrunch, New York Times, British Prime Minister, etc) Meanwhile some publishers can still access their website but it’s too slow.

One should realize that even if your website is not hosted to wordpress.com, there’s a high-chance that you will still be affected with this glitch especially if you’re using some of these popular plug-ins which are hosted on wordpress (Intensedebate, WordPress Stats, etc)

This is not the first time we’ve heard about wordpress having its servers being crippled by some culprit. It’s worth mentioning that last year, wordpress has been attacked by hackers who manage to compromise those blogs that has an outdated version of WP. Hopefully, this is not the case for this one. Meanwhile, as a precautionary measure,  it’s best if you will do a full-backup on your database and files via your FTP just in case this glitch turns out ugly.
